About the Work

The Ones Who Remember is a transformative work, currently in progress. It will not stop being in progress until it’s finally over or we’re both dead. We’d strongly suggest reading it in book order first, but that’s not a requirement. Additionally, you can view updates to this work (and the site hosting it) in the Updates page. This work as a whole began construction an indeterminate time in the past —at some point after 1998— but this written iteration of the work began 2018 September 15^th

If you’re around for the writing of this work or currently waiting for updates, you might notice that it generally takes a very very long time for chapters to be uploaded. The main reason for this is extraneous circumstances involving our non-writing lives. The second more applicable reason, is the method we use to write. Absolutely everything is written non-linearly, with emphasis placed on the beginnings & ends— of each individual book, and the series as a whole. This means that each book —and each individual chapter in those books— will often have extremely long writing times, despite our ability to write quickly. We are essentially writing several books all at once, and only able to release that writing when it makes sense to do so— in reading order, in the book currently being updated.

About the Authors

Disclosing too much information about our lives, permanently onto the internet, would be irresponsible. What we can say however, is that there are two of us, and we are in very close communication when it involves this work. This work is the primary reason for our existence, and if the work is completed to our satisfaction in our lifetimes, we will have absolutely no idea what to do with our free time. The two of us have friends, and one of us a lover, so we won’t be entirely without purpose. But that is the extent to which we are comfortable saying about ourselves at this time.
